SNOWMAN FUN!!!

My heart is full of thanks to the Lord for the great things He hath done in our hearts and home 🙂

It has been a bit of an adjustment coming to a particularly snowy winter here in Kansas from the desert 🙂  We LOVED seeing the fresh snow and playing in it though…well, most of us did!  We had two days with 13 inches of snow!  Daddy built a snowman, Lewis and daddy shoveled snow, and then made snow caves as well.  The snow just kept coming and coming and coming.  Hannah loved looking at the snowman from the inside of the house 🙂  One day, we went Frosty viewing around all the neighborhoods…there were SO many snowmen!  And the kids were SO excited to see all of them in the back seat!  They kept pointing and saying, “Look, mommy and daddy, another Frosty!”  And now that the snow has almost completely melted, we have been going for walks looking for Frosty to give him his hat and put it back on 🙂 We haven’t found him yet…but Hannah is certain he climbed up one of the trees 🙂

The other snow day, daddy shoveled us out again…and we had a fun tea party together.  It was a tea party fit for princes and princesses of the King.  We dressed up, put on our royal clothes, and our other “royal clothing.”  As I was praying for vision for inside activities on another snow day, God gave me these verses:

Colossians 3:12-14:

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.  Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.  Forgive as the Lord forgave you.  And over all these virtues, put on love with binds them all in perfect unity.”

1 Peter 5:5:

“Young men, in the same way, be submissive to those who are older.  All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

We put on our verses, bound with necklaces and bracelets, which represented Love.  We talked about the verses and what they meant and the qualities that God was seeking to bear fruit in our lives…and other qualities that were bearing fruit and how happy that made the Lord!  It really was so much fun.  We then drank our tea, ate our nuts and raisons and enjoyed the rest of the day, resting in the peace and presence of our Holy Father.
