4th Week of Advent

The Lord says:

“Be Still and Know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10

This is the last week of advent!!  And then we get to celebrate Jesus’ birth!!!  We are so excited to spend Christmas together as a family this year.  I have felt that the Lord wants us to pour out our love on each other.  This is a time of unity, special memories, rest, and celebration of HIS coming and what HE has done for all of us.

He has cleansed our house and our hearts the last 3 weeks.  We have given Him the areas of our hearts that we want Him to change.  He HAS been changing them!  Even for us adultfolk who are more slow to change 🙂

This last week of advent I am sensing is a time of rest and reflection.  We must let Him continue to do His good work in us.  We must be attentive and still and contemplative of His Word in our reading and His Voice to us in prayer.

“Be Still and Know that I am God.”  This is one of my favorite verses.  It has come alive to me lately.  Please Help me Lord Be Still!!  Ah, Sovereign Lord, our patient and ever compassionate and Holy God…Help us be Attentive and Humble to hear your Word.  May we be obedient.  He who is faithful will make us faithful!!!  I long to be faithful to Him more than anything else.

May YOU rest and be still in this last week to hear His Whisper.  May you be AMAZED by what Jesus has done for all of us.  May we be in AWE of Him.  All the rest of creation is worshiping Him–why is it so hard for man?
